20 Oct 2007 - Car Wash at UPS Raises Over £400!

Following the success of last years car wash UPS offered to hold another one this year to raise funds for new tents for the Scout Group.

UPS staff managed to raise over £400 by washing around 200 cars as part of their Community Volunteer Program. The Cabin Cafe gave a free tea or coffee to anyone who had their car washed and scouts helped clear tables at the cafe, helped car wash customers return their trolleys to Somerfields as well direct traffic in & out of UPS.

SGRFM's Black Thunders came to visit the carwash and helped to bring in more customers. They handed out ballonns and car stickers and took plenty of photos.
