30 Oct 2006 - Car Wash Fundraiser

Our Car Wash Fundraiser was an absolute HUGE success! Thanks to all the hard working staff at UPS and the support and hard work from The Cabin Cafe, Somerfields and all our customers, we managed to raise £920.20!

The UPS staff worked really hard washing about 200 cars. Some volunteers worked from 9.45am-4.00pm non-stop. The Cubs, Scouts and Beavers took the money at the gate and entertained customers who were waiting by singing songs, dancing and telling jokes!

The Cabin Cafe provided free coffees and teas for volunteers and customers whilst their cars were being washed and Scouts were busy ferrying shopping trolleys back to Somerfields for car wash customers.

The Bury Free Press photographer came and took some photographs of the Scout Group and UPS staff which added even more excitement to the day.
