Who Can Join?

Here at 1st Bury Scout Group we have a Scout Troop for girls and boys aged between 10 1/2 to 14 years old. This is the third and final section of the Scouting family. A child can join the Troop as young as ten years old and stay until they are fifteen.

Where and When Do they Meet?

Scouts meet at Scout HQ every Friday evening at 7.00pm and finish at 9.00pm during school term. We do not meet during school holidays.

What Do Scouts Do?

Scouts participate in lots of exciting activities. They are encouraged to participate in activities that will help them to find out more about the world they live in and recognise their own abilities and creative talents. They also learn about the importance of keeping fit, being friends and working as part of a team.

Alot of Scout activities take place outdoors such as:

  • Camping
  • Survival skill
  • Cooking
  • Abseiling
  • Canoeing
